Many acne problems can be prevented with a simple solution, like washing your makeup brushes and drinking more water, while others require a lifestyle adjustment.


Zones 1 & 3: The Forehead
- Associated with: Heart, Small Intestine
- Causes: Stress or emotional distress, digestive problems and difficulty breaking down certain foods, irregular sleep schedule, sugary foods, toxin-build-ups, hair products, bangs, hats and caps
- Solutions: Keep a regular sleep schedule, getting at least 8 hours of sleep per night, exercise 20 minutes per day, practice relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation, eat healthy foods, chew food thoroughly, pin hair back, drink plenty of water


Zone 2: Between the Brows
-Associated with: Heart
-Causes: Too much alcohol and tobacco
-Solutions: Exercise regularly, get more sleep, and avoid alcohol and smoking


Zone 4, 6, 8 & 10: The Temples
- Associated with: Gallbladder
- Causes: Poor lymphatic circulation, diet high in fat, too much processed food
- Solutions: Eat less processed food, reduce the amount of fat in your diet, eat cooling foods like melon and cucumbers


Zone 7: The Nose
- Associated with: Stomach, Spleen, pancreas
- Causes: Too much spicy, fatty or rich food, constipation, bloating, indigestion, too much alcohol, poor blood circulation
- Solutions: Eat less meat and foods with spice or garlic, get fresh air, exercise regularly, and get enough vitamin B

Zone 5: Right Cheek
- Associated with: Lungs, Large Intestine
- Causes: Allergies, asthma, stress, stomach problems, diet rich in sugar, dirty cell phones, pillowcases and makeup brushes, blush
- Solutions: Avoid junk food, sweets and foods that may upset digestion, get fresh air, exercise regularly (especially in the morning when the lung is the strongest), practice proper hygiene (i.e. wash makeup brushes)

Zone 9: Left Cheek
- Associated with: Liver, Gallbladder
- Causes: Over eating, consumption of hard to absorb foods, stomach problems, dirty cell phones, pillow cases and makeup brushes, blush, extreme emotions like anger and depression
- Solutions: Practice a positive attitude, maintain body temperature, eat cooling foods like melon, avoid over eating, relax, and practice proper hygiene

Zones 11, 12, 13 & 14 : Chin & Jaw
- Associated with: Kidneys, Bladder, Hormones
- Causes: Hormonal imbalance, kidney imbalance, gynecological issues, resting hands on face, toothpaste
- Solutions: Avoid eating before bed, eat less spicy and fried foods, eat more fruits and vegetables, change your brand of toothpaste, get 20 minutes of exercise per day, get at least 8 hours of sleep per night, go to bed early and rise early, practice relaxation, have hormones checked, practice proper hygiene
