10 Reasons Why You Should Stop Eating Instant Noodles




Instant noodles are a popular go-to lunch or dinner for those who are strapped for time (or cash), like college students. While you probably don’t consider them a health food, you may think they’re not that bad, or, at least, not as bad as eating a burger and fries or a fast-food burrito.

In a first-of-its-kind experiment, however, Dr. Braden Kuo of Massachusetts General Hospital may make you reconsider your love of instant noodles (assuming you have one).

He used a pill-sized camera to see what happens inside your stomach and digestive tract after you eat ramen noodles, one common type of instant noodles. The results were astonishing…

Eating plenty of instant noodles makes constipation more serious, feces stay at the colon for a long time. It is also a factor leading to rectal cancer.

Scientific researches prove that maintaining and enhancing normal physiological function of the brain must have eight nutrients: lecithin, protein, sugar, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and B group vitamin. The nutrient content of lecithin, vitamin is very low in the instant noodles, so eating them regularly would not be good for thinking activity and brain development.

1.        Nutrient Absorption: Noodles inhibit the absorption of nutrients for the children under 5.

2.        Cancer: The ingredient in the instant noodles called “Styrofoam’, is a cancer causing agent. The researches prove that loading an appropriate amount of fiber and calcium helps to prevent rectal cancer. Instant noodles which are made from wheat flour have low fiber content; minerals and fiber disappear during processing.

3.        Miscarriage : Women who are Eating instant noodles during their pregnancy causes miscarriage, because it affect the development of a foetus.

4.        Junk Food: instant noodles are enriched with full of carbohydrates, but no vitamins, fiber and minerals. This makes the instant noodles considered as a junk food.

5.        Sodium: Instant noodles are power packed with high amounts of sodium. Excess consumption of sodium leads to heart disease, stroke, hypertension and kidney damage.

6.        MSG: Monosodium Glutamate is used to enhance the flavour of instant noodles. People who are allergic to MSG consume it as part of their diet, then they end up suffering from headaches, facial flushing, pain, burning sensations.

7.         Obesity and related Diseases:   Eating Noodles is the leading cause of obesity. Noodles contains fat and large amounts of sodium, which causes water retention in the body and surely it leads to overweight, and obesity leads to heart problems. Processing instant noodles makes vitamins B broken completely; basically, they only provide enough calories necessary for the body to work. Because of lacking nutrients, instant noodles must be eaten with other foods, and carbohydrate and fat in the body are too much.

8.        Digestion: Instant noodles are bad for digestive system. Regular consumption of instant noodles causes irregular bowl movements and bloating.

9.         Propylene Glycol: The ingredient in the instant noodles called “Propylene Glycol” which has a anti-freeze property. This ingredient is used because it prevents the noodles from drying by retaining moisture. It weakens the immune system of our body.
